37th Annual Parade of Lights!

Come one, come all, and show us what your favorite Christmas movie is! Sign up is open for the Annual Parade of Lights and this year we’re offering a $200 prize for Best Float. We are inviting businesses, organizations and families alike to join the parade and march down Main Street, showing off their creativity to bring this year’s theme "Your Favorite Christmas Movie" to life!

Walking WALSENBURG

Handmade flower planters have been a staple for almost twenty years in downtown Walsenburg, thanks to generations of local volunteers, merchants, and the Museum of Friends.

In 2022, through a through a generous Colorado Artist Grant, administered by RedLine and Arts in Society, WDRC collaborated with local designers and fabricators to develop and install steel Walking Walsenburg planters along Main Street.

Continuing in the tradition of storytelling of the areas ancestors, these planters are adorned with iconography evoking a reminder of our collective strengths, diverse culture, and complex history.
